I’ve spent years cooking and prepping in catering kitchens and restaurants, honing my craft and exploring my passion for food. Along the way, I even owned a small cottage kitchen business, which allowed me to bring my culinary creations to life.
My journey continued at the Publix Bakery, where I further developed my skills and love for baking.
These experiences have inspired me to take the next big step: starting my own food truck business. This venture is not just about pursuing my dream, but also honoring the memory of my father, whose love and support continue to guide me even after his passing.
Initially, I envisioned starting a bakery food truck, but my plans evolved into creating a grill-focused food truck. I wanted my father to be a part of it, cooking breakfast sandwiches and serving coffee to everyone alongside me.
The name "Jimmy's Grill & Moore" was inspired by him, a tribute to the bond we shared and the dream of working together.
As I pursued my passion for baking and enrolled in culinary school, I took the first step toward turning my love for creating delicious treats into a career. I started a cottage kitchen business, pouring my heart and creativity into every recipe and product I crafted.
The demand for my baked goods grew quickly, but balancing the financial pressures of bills, a full-time job, and managing my own business proved to be overwhelming.
In the midst of this, I decided to join Publix and work in their bakery. It was a practical decision that not only provided stability but also allowed me to hone my skills as a baker in a professional environment. My passion for learning pushed me to go even further, and I enrolled at Escoffier Culinary Arts to pursue an Associate of Arts degree in culinary and business. I wanted to deepen my knowledge and develop the skills needed to elevate my craft and my business.
At that time, I also became deeply interested in health and wellness and decided to take an additional class in Holistic Nutrition. I believed that integrating nutrition into my culinary expertise would allow me to create more meaningful, nourishing experiences through food.
However, life threw an unexpected curve ball. About halfway through my studies, my father passed away. His death was a profound loss that shook me to my core. I struggled to cope with the immense grief. During that time, I was unable to continue my education. The dreams and goals I had worked so hard for seemed to slip further away as I navigated this incredibly difficult period.
I've made the decision to dedicate my services to my father as he served as such a massive inspiration to me and my life.
